MLB Final Vote: Chipper Jones Would Like To Be Selected

Although the Final Vote field includes fellow Brave Michael Bourn, the race for the final spot on the NL All-Star is by all accounts a two-horse race between Chipper Jones and Bryce Harper.

Jones is in his final season and would like to make the team, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

"This being my last year obviously it would be fun to go," Jones said. "I’d love to take my kids to an All-Star game, so we’ll just have to wait and see. It’s a win-win either way."

Jones might have been cost a spot after Pablo Sandoval won the vote at third base, pushing David Wright to the bench.

As for Bourn, his hopes might not die with the Final Vote. He could also be named as an injury replacement for Matt Kemp.
