London Olympics 2012: Jon Isner, Andy Roddick Ousted In Doubles Tennis

Jon Isner was paired up with Andy Roddick as doubles tennis partners for the Olympics. All of the tennis action for the Olympics is taking place at Wimbledon. The two did not last very long as they fell to the duo of Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares of Brazil in straight sets by a score of 6-2, 6-4.

Isner and Roddick were making mistake after mistake as they had 14 unforced errors compared to just four between Melo and Soares. Those errors could likely be due to that Isner and Roddick do not normally play doubles tennis and they did not have a lot of time to train together.

The one area that Roddick and Isner did perform well was by having nine aces, but that is the only area where they played well but it was not enough.
