The women's United States basketball team is back in action on Monday afternoon in London when they take on Angola and are looking to improve to 2-0 in group play. Atlanta Dream's Angel McCoughtry had 13 points in Team USA's win over Croatia on Saturday. Angola lost their opening match 72-50 against Turkey and should not be a real threat to Team USA.
This game will be streamed live online at 5:15 p.m. ET at NBCOlympics.com and on NBC's specialty basketball channel as well as NBC Sports Network.
Other notable events taking place on Monday will be in swimming as Allison Schmitt will be swimming in the prelims 200m freestyle. She has already won an Olympic silver medal in the 400m freestyle, and will now be looking to win another Olympic medal.
Schmitt enters the 200m freestyle as the favorite as she has the fastest time 1:54.40, but there are three swimmers who are within one second of Schmitt. Fellow American teammate Missy Franklin has the third fastest time heading into the prelims.
The prelims begin at 5 a.m. ET and the semifinals will be at 2:30 p.m. ET, and both events will be streamed online at NBCOlympics.com. The prelims and semifinals can be seen throughout the day on NBC at 11 a.m. ET, 1:30 p.m. ET and in primetime starting at 7 p.m. ET
