2012 Wimbledon Update: Andy Murray, David Ferrer Advance

Wimbledon action is underway on Tuesday, with Andy Murray and David Ferrer already advancing past their respective opponents in straight sets. Murray handled Marin Cilic, while Ferrer defeated Juan Martin del Potro.

These victories pit Murray and Ferrer against each other in the quarterfinal round of Wimbledon. Ferrer is the player that most recently defeated American Andy Roddick.

At this point, everyone is waiting on a finals matchup between Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer. Serena Williams will meet Petra Kvitova in a matchup of favorite and defending champion. Her sister Venus was already eliminated in the first round of the tournament, suffering with visible physical ailments.

This is one of those last few Wimbledon's where we get to see the Williams and Federer at the same time, as time is surely winding down on all of them.

You can follow the action live at WatchESPN.com and Wimbledon.com.
