It looks like tennis fans will get a dream match at Wimbledon after all. Both Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic advanced to the semifinals on Wednesday, and they will meet in one of the two semifinal matches.
The top-seeded Djokovic won in straight sets over No. 31 Florian Mayer, 6-4, 6-1, 6-4. Though the Djoker won't get a crack at nemesis Rafael Nadal, who bested Djokovic at this year's French Open, he will get a chance to defeat tennis legend Roger Federer.
Federer, who is the No. 3 seed, also won in straight sets on Wednesday. Federer might not have even broken a sweat, as he defeated No. 26 Mikhail Youzhny, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
The other men's semifinal will feature the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds. Fourth-seeded Andy Murray defeated David Ferrer in four sets, 6-7 (7-5), 7-6 (8-6), 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).
Murray will be opposed by fifth-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, who, like Murray, won in four sets. Tsonga bested No. 27 Philipp Kohlschreiber, 7-6 (7-5), 4-6, 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.
