London Olympics 2012: U.S. Women Face France In Gold Medal Game

Team USA will go for an unprecedented fifth straight gold medal in Women's basketball Saturday night when they meet France in the Gold Medal game of the 2012 London Olympics. Both Team USA and France are undefeated at the Olympics but the U.S. has defeated opponents by an average of 34 points. France's average margin of victory is eight points.

Despite being the overwhelming favorites in the tournament, the U.S. Women have done an excellent job of taking each game one at a time. They trailed in Thursday's semifinal game against Australia at halftime but didn't blink in the second half and went on to an otherwise easy victory.

France will come into Saturday's game loose having clinched the country's first medal in women's basketball. A victory over the Americans would go down as one of the biggest upsets in Olympics history.
