Rory McIlroy missed a couple of opportunities early as the third round restarted Sunday morning at the 2012 PGA Championship but he will begin the final round with a three-shot lead over the rest of the field.
McIlroy shot a five-under, 67 during the third round and is 7-under for the tournament. Carl Pettersson is currently second at 4-under par. A group of four golfers including Vijay Singh and Adam Scott and four shots back at 3-under.
Tiger Woods continues to have an up and down round. Woods started the third round 4-over on the front nine. He came back with three birdies on the back before a bogey at 17 dropped him back to 2-under for the tournament. Woods still has 18 to play before wrapping up the third round.
