MLB Standings Update: Braves Trail Nationals By 4.5 Games In N.L. East

New, 1 comment

The Atlanta Braves went 4-2 this past week, but the Washington Nationals went 6-1 this past week to extend their lead in the National League East to 4.5 games. The N.L. East race will come down between the Nationals and Braves over the final six weeks of the seasons since the New York Mets are in third and 16 games back.

The Braves do get to face the Nationals six times the rest of the way with each team hosting three games, so there is a chance to make up some ground on that 4.5 game lead.

The next series for the Braves is a three-game road series against the San Diego Padres.
