Braves Vs. Padres: Mike Minor Looks To Continue Pitching Hot Streak

A liability to begin the season, Mike Minor (6-8, 4.95 ERA) has been one of the Braves' best pitchers for the last six weeks. Minor has allowed three runs or less in his last six starts and had lowered his ERA from 6.20 to 4.95 during that time.

Minor is making his first start of the season against the San Diego Padres on Monday. The 24-year-old allowed three runs over six innings against them last year in a loss.

Opposing Minor will be Eric Stults (2-2, 2.72 ERA). Since coming over from the Chicago White Sox earlier this season, Stults has worked in both the bullpen and rotation, pitching well in either role. Matt Diaz, Dan Uggla, Chipper Jones and Jason Heyward have all taken Stults deep in his career.

First pitch is schedule for 7:10 ET and the game will be broadcast on SportSouth.
