The Atlanta Braves look to maintain their lead in the National League Wild Card race, as well as gain ground on the Washington Nationals on Monday, as the Braves welcome the Padres to Turner Field for a four-game series.
Both Bud Black and Fredi Gonzalez have announced the starting lineups for Monday night, and they are as follows:
San Diego Padres
SS Logan Forsythe
2B Alexi Amarista
3B Chase Headley
LF Carlos Quentin
RF Chris Denorfia
1B Yonder Alonso
CF Cameron Maybin
C Nick Hundley
SP Eric Stults
Atlanta Braves
CF Michael Bourn
LF Martin Prado
RF Jason Heyward
3B Chipper Jones
1B Freddie Freeman
2B Dan Uggla
C Brian McCann
SS Paul Janish
SP Mike Minor
Those unfamiliar with the Padres might not know much about their lineup, and it's certainly not a daunting lineup by any means. Headley and Quentin are two very good hitters, though, and could give Atlanta starter Mike Minor some trouble.
