Padres Vs. Braves Lineups: Jason Heyward Sits, Reed Johnson Starts In Right Field

The Atlanta Braves have announced their lineup for Tuesday night's game with the San Diego Padres. The club was held down offensively in the series opener, falling to San Diego and Eric Stults by a score of 4-1.

Facing their fourth left-handed pitcher in as many days, manager Fredi Gonzalez has elected to give Jason Heyward a night off. He will be replaced in right field by Reed Johnson. Heyward has not had an off-day in quite some time, and given the slew of right-handed starters coming up it only makes sense to rest him now.

Here is the rest of the Braves lineup:

Michael Bourn - CF
Martin Prado - LF
Freddie Freeman - 1B
Chipper Jones - 3B
Brian McCann - C
Dan Uggla - 2B
Reed Johnson - RF
Paul Janish - SS
Tim Hudson - P

Alexi Amarista - 2B
Everth Cabrera - SS
Chase Headley - 3B
Yonder Alonso - 1B
Mark Kotsay - LF
Will Venable - RF
Cameron Maybin - CF
John Baker - C
Clayton Richard - P
