UGA Football Preseason: Plenty Of Competition For Running Back

Four running backs are trying to win the starting job for the Georgia Bulldogs in 2012. So far in preseason camp, head coach Mark Richt can't make up his mind as to who will get that first carry of the regular season, according to Dog Bytes Online.

"I think they’re all pretty good backs," Richt said. "I think they’re all going to get their opportunity to play throughout the year. Who’s going to be the starter? I don’t know. We’ll be anxious to see all of them really. I will be."

Redshirt sophomore Ken Malcome entered the preseason as the No. 1 tailback, and Richt said he likes "the way he runs the ball."

The other three running backs fighting for the starting job are senior Richard Samuel and freshmen Todd Gurley and Keith Marshall.
