Falcons Preseason 2012: Dirk Koetter Has No Concerns About Atlanta's Running Game

Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter doesn't think the team forgot how to run the football overnight. Despite not seeing much from the Falcons in the running game through these first couple of preseason game, Koetter is confident that a healthy Michael Turner will run the ball just fine this season.

What he doesn't want to do is get players injured, ramming the up the middle in games that are meaningless in terms of competition and more valuable in evaluation. In fact, Koetter says he never worries about the running game in the preseason:

"I just don't see why you want to plow it up in there and get your backs beat up. We know that Michael Turner can run the football.

"We are trying to get guys evaluated. I don't think we forgot how to run the ball overnight."
