NASCAR At Michigan: Dale Earnhardt Jr., Carl Edwards Turn In Solid Performances

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Carl Edwards turned in solid performances on Sunday at Michigan. Earnhardt Jr. came away with a fourth-place finish, which will keep him near the top of the points standings. Edwards, who took sixth, needs a series of strong performances in the season's stretch run if he wants to earn a spot in this year's Chase.

Points leader Jimmie Johnson's blown engine in the race's final laps relegated him to a very disappointing 27th at the checkers.
