Georgia Football 2012: Keith Marshall Returns To Practice, Not Considered Injured

Keith Marshall wasn't techincally injured during Monday's practice, at least by Georgia head coach Mark Richt's standards. Richt told the Athens Banner-Herald and the rest of the media. Marshall was seen getting up slowly after being knocked down by a defender. He left practice, and freshman tailback Todd Gurley said Marshall later returned, per the Banner-Herald. Regardless, Richt wasn't biting:

"No big deal," Richt said. "Normally I think it was 15 minutes anyway and we had 20. Five too many, I guess."

"You guys know more than I do," Richt said when told Gurley had said Marshall returned. "We can talk about something besides injuries, that will be good."

"When Keith came out, we got kind of tired there," Gurley said. "Me and Ken we were like, ‘Oh, man, we’ve got to get Keith back. He came back and everything was good again."

Georgia's lack of injuries has been noticeable so far this preseason, but given the lack of depth at tailback following the dismissal of Isaiah Crowell, the Bulldogs are expected to rely very heavily on the true freshman Marshall in the backfield this fall.
