The second round of the 2012 Barclays at Bethpage State Park is underway. While most of the big names including Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods and current leader Padraig Harrington are yet to tee off, there has been movement on the leaderboard.
Georgia resident Chris Kirk had a rough start to his round. Starting on hole No. 10, Kirk bogeyed his first three holes and also bogeyed No. 15. His fortunes turned when he hit a hole-in-one on a par-3 No. 17. Kirk added two more birdies on the front nine to finish the round even for the day.
Fellow Georgia Bulldog Bubba Watson has been inconsistent in his second round with three birdies and three bogeys. It has kept his tournament score at one-under and should keep him above the cut line.
The biggest mover so far in the first round is Vijay Singh, who has shot a three-under through 16 to pull within one shot of the lead. McIlroy and Woods tee off at 1:06 p.m. and Harrington tees off at 12:22 p.m.
