Five players scored in double figures as the Atlanta Dream won their second straight without Angel McCoughtry 81-69 over the Washington Mystics. The win pushes the Dream to above .500 on the season at 12-11 and gives them a little more breathing room in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
The Dream took advantage of 18 turnovers by the Mystics and built an early lead. Atlanta led 49-33 at halftime and then put the game away with a 19-11 third quarter. Armintie Price led all Atlanta scorers with 19 points. Tiffany Hayes and Lindsey Harding added 16 points while Sancho Lyttle chipped in 14. Cathrine Kraayeveld added 10 points of the bench for the Dream.
Matee Ajavon scored 20 points to lead all scorers and Crystal Langhorne added 17 for Washington. Monique Curry trounded out Mystics' scorers in double figures with 14.
The Dream return home on Saturday for a nationally televised WNBA Finals rematch against the Minnesota Lynx.
