The Atlanta Dream and Minnesota Lynx face off for the first time since the 2011 WNBA Finals.

Presswire

The last time the Minnesota Lynx visited Philips Arena, they defeated the Atlanta Dream and walked away with the WNBA Championship, sweeping the Finals series.

The Lynx have already clinched a playoff spot as they enter Saturday night's contest with an 18-4 record, and the Dream have gone 3-1 since the Olympic break and find themselves third in the Eastern Conference standings with a 12-11 record.

Atlanta begins a five-game homestand on Saturday and hopes to use that to fend off the New York Liberty and Chicago Sky.

The biggest question is what's going on with Dream star Angel McCoughtry, who leads the league in scoring at 22.7 points per game. It doesn't appear that she's with the team as she watched Wednesday's victory over the Sky from the stands. She wasn't with the team when it traveled to Washington D.C. to play the Mystics on Friday night.

She has been listed as being out for "personal reasons" but those reasons have yet to be disclosed.

The game tips off at 7 p.m. ET and is a nationally televised contest. It will be aired on ESPN2 and also live streamed at WNBA Live Access.
