The Tennessee Volunteers and North Carolina State Wolfpack will get their respective seasons underway on Friday night at the Georgia Dome as part of the Chick-Fil-A kickoff.
Tennessee comes into the contest with a solid passing game. Tyler Bray leads this squad into battle knowing that a large majority of its offensive prowess rests on his arm. The rushing attack is expected to be a work in progress that will get better with experience.
On defense, the Vols are switching from a 4-3 to 3-4 defense. After some nice recuriting, head coach Derek Dooley has the defensive personnel that can potentially be stout up front.
The Wolfpack also depend heavily on their quarterback Mike Glennon, who might make a name for himself nationally in 2012. Glennon can throw the ball as well as anybody in the ACC, and should provide Tennessee with a very stiff test.
David Amerson is the player to watch on NC State's defense. Last year, the cornerback picked off 13 passes, tops in the country.
