According to tonight's Atlanta Dream broadcast All-Star forward Angel McCoughtry has been suspended indefinitely by the team. No further details are available at this time but this appears to cap off what has been a tumultuous week and a half for the team.

McCoughtry missed two games last week for what was reported as "personal reasons" but returned to action on Sunday in a loss to the Minnesota Lynx. McCoughtry came off the bench in that game and we learned during the broadcast that she had lost her title as team captain.

Things apparently came to a head this week when the team parted ways with head coach and general manager Marynell Meadors. Assistant coach Fred Williams was announced as her replacement.

McCoughtry is in the midst of one of her best seasons averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. If this last week is any indication however she has been a detriment to the team in the locker room.

The Dream are in the home stretch of the WNBA season and are currently 12-12 and in third place in the Eastern Conference standings.
