Falcons Vs. Jaguars Final Score: Atlanta Drops Final Preseason Game 24-14

Dominique Davis connected with Kevin Cone for a 49-yard touchdown in the second half, but the Atlanta Falcons were outgunned by the Jacksonville Jaguars in both teams' final preseason game. The Jaguars topped Atlanta 24-14.

Davis was the Falcons' main option behind center on Thursday as Matt Ryan was rested in preparation for the regular season. Davis ended the game 14-for-25 for 175 yards and a touchdown.

The Falcons were the early beneficiaries of a mistake on the Jaguars' first play from scrimmage when Jacksonville quarterback Blaine Gabbert lost a fumble that was recovered at the 5-yard line. The Falcons converted on the field position right away as Jacquizz Rodgers punched the ball in on a 5-yard rush to give the Falcons an early 7-0 lead.

The Jaguars tied the score as the first half came to a close on a Jalen Parmele 14-yard rush. Jacksonville racked up 17 points in the second half, more than enough to stave off the Falcons.
