Angel McCoughtry Remains Suspended, Not On The Trading Block

Angel McCoughtry remains suspended and missed her second consecutive game Thursday night. New Dream head coach and general manager Fred Williams discussed his meeting with McCoughtry on Wednesday and laid out what the All-Star forward must do to get reinstated.

"It's day-to-day," said Williams by phone this afternoon about the status of McCoughtry. "For now, she remains suspended and will not play tonight. We had a great meeting. We talked and set some guidelines that were put on paper, we reviewed and thoroughly went over the team rules that we already have in the player rulebook. She has to abide by team rules -- that's it, plain and simple."

The two parties are scheduled to meet again on Friday. The Dream defeated the Washington Mystics 82-59 on Thursday night and evened their record at 13-13.

Williams also indicated that several teams had inquired about McCoughtry's availability before Thursday's trade deadline but he had no intention of moving her.
