With the Altanta Braves hitting the home stretch of the 2012 regular season, they begin a big three-game series against the Philadelphia Philles Friday night at Turner Field.
The Braves will send out Mike Minor (7-10, 4.71 ERA), who has been excellent on the mound over the last six weeks even if his record doesn't necessarily show it. Minor has given up three earned runs or less in each of his last nine starts dating back to July 5, but has only gone 3-4 over that time.
The Phillies will counter with Roy Halladay (8-7, 3.88 ERA) who is rounding into form since returning from the disabled list on July 17. In the month of August, Hallady has won four of his five starts, giving up three earned runs or less in four of them.
