The Atlanta Braves have traded for Jeff Baker, sending a player to be named later to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for the veteran utility player, according to a tweet from Jason Beck. Baker has been in Major League Baseball since 2005, bouncing between the Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs and Detroit, primarily playing first and second base.
This is Baker's second trade in a month, having started August with the Chicago Cubs before being traded to Detroit. Baker has batted .254 between the two teams, including 13 extra base hits and four home runs.
