The Braves have away a game on Friday night, falling to the Phillies by a score of 8-5 in 10 innings. With a 5-4 lead in the ninth inning, Craig Kimbrel surrendered a solo homer to Erik Kratz that tied the game at 5-5. John Mayberry then hit a three-run blast off Cristhian Martinez in the 10th to give Philadelphia a 8-5 lead they would not relinquish.

All five of Atlanta's runs came on homers. Martin Prado and Freddie Freeman hit two-run homers in the fifth inning against Roy Halladay, giving the club a 4-1 lead at the time. The Phillies responded with a couple of bloops off Mike Minor in the top of the sixth, tying the score at 4-4. Dan Uggla then hit a solo homer in the bottom of the sixth to make if 5-4.

The Braves' bullpen held strong until the ninth when Kimbrel made a mistake with an 0-2 fastball. Three of Kimbrel's last four blown saves have come against the Phillies.

Jonathan Papelbon worked a 1-2-3 perfect frame to secure the win.

It was a very tough, frustrating loss for the Braves. The team is now 5-9 in their last 14 games.
