Tennessee Vs. NC State Final Score: Vols Defeat Wolfpack 35-21 As Defense Collects 4 Interceptions

The Tennessee Volunteers defeated the N.C. State Wolfpack on Friday night, winning their season-opening game 35-21. Tyler Bray was 27-for-41 on the night for 332 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. The Vols defense came up big, intercepting Mike Glennon four times, including one by Marsalis Teague on what would be NC State's final drive.

Tennessee scored 16 points in the final two minutes of the first quarter, with Bray connecting with Zach Rogers for a 72-yard touchdown, Curt Maggitt forcing a fumble and picking up a safety, and Cordarrelle Patterson rushing for 67 yards and a touchdown. Patterson picked up another touchdown receiving, and Rajion Neal added one more on the ground.

The Volunteers next face the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 4 p.m. ET.
