2012 Olympics: Women's Basketball Quarterfinal Schedule

Quarterfinal play for women's basketball at the 2012 Olympics gets underway on Tuesday, August 7, with all four quarterfinal games set to take place.

Geno Auriemma's squad will take on Canada in the first quarterfinal matchup of the day. The United States and Canada will tipoff at 2 p.m. in London, which is 9 a.m. for those on the east coast of the United States.

If you're interested in the rest of the women's quarterfinal games, China takes on Australia at 11:15 a.m. ET, before Russia and Turkey get underway at 3 p.m. ET. France takes on the Czech Republic in the final quarterfinal game, and that tips off at 5:15 p.m. ET.

Needless to say, anything less than a gold medal for the United States would come off as disappointing for the women's basketball team -- especially after the 114-66 thrashing of the Chinese on Sunday.
