UGA Football Preseason: John Theus Getting Plenty Of Practice Blocking Jarvis Jones

Freshman John Theus hasn't been named as a starter for Georgia's offensive line yet but it is pretty apparent that he is going to be getting a lot of playing time.

"John's not gotten to the point where we're going to name him the starter yet, but I don't think there's any doubt he's going to play and he knows that," said head coach Mark Richt

Theus' preparation includes trying to block consensus All-American Jarvis Jones who led the conference in sacks last season and Jones has yet to cut him any slack.

"I'm trying to make it my business that they have him ready from day one," Jones said.

Theus is currently competing with Watts Dantzler for the starting position at right tackle. His presence however could eventually lead to Dantzler or Kenarious Gates being shifted inside to guard.
