Aaron Murray is entrenched at the starting quarterback position for the Georgia Bulldogs, but after that the position gets a little fuzzy for the team in preseason as Mark Richt is deciding what to do with his depth chart. While Christian LeMay was presumed to be the No. 2 guy if something happened to Murray, Hutson Mason is making that call a difficult one with his play so far.
"If something happened today, Hutson is No. 2," head coach Mark Richt said. "It could change throughout camp, but Hutson just has a tremendous feel for what he's doing and has got another year under his belt compared to LeMay. LeMay's getting there. He's made some good progress. The best one's going to play. Right now, Hutson is ahead of LeMay."
"With Hutson, we feel like he's kind of up there with Murray," added senior safety Shawn Williams. "He can throw good balls. He was making us be on our job. You can't be lacking coming in out of breaks because he's going to have the ball on our target."
LeMay, a 6-2 redshirt freshman, went 7 for 10 for 152 yards a touchdown in this springs G-Day game.
