The Georgia Bulldogs are heavy favorites at home in Athens Saturday against Buffalo, to the tune of 38 points.
Georgia is No. 6 in the nation going in with sights on a BCS bowl, and it should contend for an SEC title. But it will have to weather an early storm of suspensions and injuries, with defensive starters Sanders Commings and Chase Vasser out for the first two games due to off-field mishaps.
Two other starters, Baccari Rambo and Alec Ogletree, were still awaiting their fate as it pertains to their suspensions as of Friday.
The Bulldogs went 10-4 last season, including losses in the SEC Championship game to LSU and the Outback Bowl to Michigan State.
Quarterback Aaron Murray, who threw 35 touchdown passes in 2011, guides a prolific offense against the Bulls of the MAC, who went 3-9 last season. Buffalo has lost its previous three games against SEC opponents.
Kickoff is at noon ET on the SEC Network and ESPN3.
