The extra point was no good and the Georgia lead was trimmed to 7-6. Gurley went to work again on the ensuing kickoff running it back 100 yards for Georgia's second touchdown and a 14-6 lead.
Aaron Murray completed 5 of 9 passes in the first quarter for 74 yards. Gurley rushed two times for 11 yards with a touchdown. Freshman running Keith Marshall also made his debut with two carries for 10 yards.
