After giving away the series opener to the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday, the Atlanta Braves look to even the three-game series in Tuesday's matchup.
While the Braves hold a comfortable lead in the National League Wild Card standings, they want to get wins against sub-500 teams like the Brewers. Tim Hudson (14-5, 3.59 ERA) will take the mound for Atlanta. In Hudson's last appearance, he pitched the seven innings and gave up no runs on six hits as the Braves went on to defeat the Colorado Rockies, 1-0.
The issue is whether or not Hudson will get enough run support to be formidable on Tuesday, since the Braves have struggled at the plate in the past week.
