Falcons Vs. Broncos Halftime Score: Atlanta Only Up 20-7 Despite Four Denver Turnovers

Through one half of play, the Falcons defense has kept Peyton Manning and the Broncos offense mostly clueless.

Peyton Manning has thrown three interceptions already - one INT to William Moore, Thomas DeCoud, and Robert McClain - and former UGA star Knowshon Moreno fumbled on one of his two carries in this ball game.

Sure, the ageless Willis McGahee has found some astounding success on the ground so far, with 77 yards on 11 carries.

But holding Manning to seven points of offense, the lone touchdown coming on a third-and-goal pass to Demaryius Thomas with under ten seconds left in the half, is an impressive feat.

Still, this football game has been thoroughly ugly so far. Thirteen penalties have been called, and the replacement refs stumbling their way through an already embarrassing performance.

The Falcons offense has also disappointed somewhat. Despite being gifted four Denver turnovers, the offense has only managed 20 points, and they've generally looked much more conservative than last week.

However, an eight-play 73 yard drive capped off by a Tony Gonzalez TD catch late in the half may be a sign that the Falcons offense is beginning to find their groove.

That's always a good thing when Peyton Manning is still behind center.
