Vanderbilt Vs. Georgia: Josh Dawson Heading Toward An Awkward Moment

Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Josh Dawson will probably come accross Vanderbilt Commodores head coach James Franklin on Saturday. When they meet, the heavy scent of awkwardness will be in the air. Dawson originally verbally committed to play for Vanderbilt before suddenly signing with Georgia on signing day.

Dawson commented on his sudden decision to sign with his hometown school:

A little disappointed, but he understood. It was just something I felt like I had to do, and I'm glad I came here.

After Dawson switched his commitment, Franklin told a group of players that those that decommitted were not "men of honor" or "men of integrity." Franklin later backed away from those comments, but that doesn't mean that the awkwardness will not be in full effect.
