Braves Vs. Marlins Final Score: Atlanta Falls In 10th Inning Despite Late Rally

The Braves lost to the last-place Marlins on Tuesday night, falling by a score of 4-3 in 10 innings. Atlanta trailed 3-0 entering the ninth, but some late-inning heroics from Dan Uggla and Brian McCann tied it at 3-3. In the end, it was Jose Reyes and the Marlins who would get the last laugh.

With Atlanta trailing 3-0, Jason Heyward led off the top of the ninth with a double. Chipper Jones walked, and after Freddie Freeman struck out swinging, Dan Uggla lined a ball into center field to cut the deficit by one run. Brian McCann then took a fastball deep to left field and bounced it high off the wall, allowing Jones and Uggla to score. With the score tied and just one out, Atlanta was unable to plate the would-be-winning run.

After a scoreless bottom half of the ninth, the Marlins came up again in the 10th. With two outs and two runners on, Jose Reyes blooped a ball into right-center field that was just out of the reach of a sliding Heyward. Miami came around to score easily to clinch the 4-3 victory.

The Braves will look to win the series on Wednesday night. It'll be Josh Johnson and Kris Medlen on the mound.
