The Atlanta Dream defeated the Chicago Sky on Thursday night, 75-66. It was all Dream in this one, as Atlanta led for much of the game and outscored the Sky in every quarter except the third.
Angel McCoughtry led all scorers with 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Sancho Lyttle added 17 points for the Dream, while Armintie Price chipped in 12. Erika de Souza led the Dream with a game-high 10 rebounds on the night. Lindsey Harding recorded a game-high eight assists for the Dream.
Carolyn Swords and Epiphanny Prince led the way for Chicago, scoring 16 and 14 points apiece. Shay Murphy came off the bench for the Sky with 12 points.
Even with the Sky hanging in the game in the second half, the Dream held them off with strong shooting percentages. Atlanta shot 50 percent from the field, while Chicago shot just 36 percent.
The Dream are back in action on Saturday against the Connecticut Sun.
