After committing to the Georgia Bulldogs in a press conference Friday morning, Mill Creek (Ga.) High School defensive tackle Kelsey Griffin backed off of that commitment hours later according to his head coach Shannon Jarvis.
In a text message, Jarvis told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Carvell that Griffin was not committed to the Bulldogs:
"We are about to load our buses for tonight's game so I will not be able to call. Please know that Kelsey is NOT committed to UGA right now. I know this may sound crazy, but it is the facts."
Griffin is considered a four-star recruit from all the major recruiting services and is on of the top recruits in Georgia that has not committed to a school. Along with the Bulldogs, Griffin is considering an offer from the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Griffin was unavailable for comment before Mill Creek's game against Peachtree Ridge (Ga.) High School.
