The Atlanta Hawks are set to begin training camp next week and released their roster on Thursday. The Hawks will take 18 players to camp. Atlanta announced the signing of forward Anthony Tolliver earlier this week but will also be bringing former second-round pick Keith Benson as well as 5-10 point guard Carldell "Squeaky" Johnson.

Benson was a 2011 second-round pick of the Hawks but was cut at the end of training camp last season. He spent time in the D-League and then played on Atlanta's entry in the Vegas Summer League. Johnson appeared in 15 games last season for the New Orleans Hornets and averaged 1.8 points and 1.5 assists per outing.

Atlanta has 13 players with guaranteed contracts counting Mike Scott's deal that is partially guaranteed. The contracts of James Anderson, Keith Benson, Damion James, Carldell Johnson and Anthony Tolliver are not guaranteed. The Hawks can carry up to 15 players on their regular season roster. Last season Ivan Johnson came to camp on a non-guaranteed deal and won a spot on the roster.
