Tennessee Vs. Georgia Score: Big plays give Bulldogs 51-37 lead

The Georgia Bulldogs bounced back nicely from a sloppy second quarter, putting up three touchdowns out of the half to lead the Tennessee Volunteers 51-37 heading into the fourth.

Tennessee wasn't able to carry their momentum from the second quarter over to their opening possession with their run game getting swallowed up to lead to a quick punt. Georgia QB Aaron Murray would then get his chemistry going with his tight ends, completing a 38-yard pass to Arthur Lynch before hooking up with Michael Bennett for an 8-yard score.

The Volunteers' next drive ended with Georgia safety Marc Deas blocking a punt to give the Bulldogs the ball at Tennessee's 46. Following a few runs from RB Todd Gurley, Murray hooked up with Bennett for another touchdown, this time from 32 yards out. Yet again. though, the extra point would be unsuccessful with the Volunteers getting through for a block.

Now down 13 points, Tennessee WR Cordarrelle Patterson would put the Volunteers on the board for the first time in the second half on a 46-yard touchdown off a reverse. Not to be outdone, RB Keith Marshall answered with his second 70-plus-yard touchdown run of the day, bursting through a gaping hole to find pay dirt on a 72-yard dash. Murray would then nail the reliable Marlon Brown to convert on the two-point try.

Tennessee QB Tyler Bray had a nice 62-yard connection with TE Mychal Rivera late in the quarter but kicker Derrick Brodus would miss the 28-yard field goal with a few seconds remaining.
