The Atlanta Braves got a solid performance on the mound from Mike Minor and some timely hitting from Martin Prado as they defeat the New York Mets 2-0.

Atlanta jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first as Martin Prado scored on a groundout by Jason Heyward. The Braves gave Mike Minor another insurance run to work with in the fifth as Prado doubled off the wall driving in Andrelton Simmons who had singled to lead off the inning.

Mike Minor picks up his 11th win of the season after throwing six and a third scoreless innings. Minor allowed just three hits while striking out four and walking nobody. Craig Kimbrel pitched around a Dan Uggla error in the ninth to record his 41st save of the season. Chris Young falls to 4-9 on the season after allowing seven hits and two runs in six innings of work. Prado, Uggla and Simmons all finish with two hits each for the Braves.

Atlanta wraps up it's three-game series with the Mets on Sunday as Kris Medlen goes for his 10th win of the season in what will be Chipper Jones' final regular season home game.
