Georgia's Todd Gurley Named SEC Freshman Of The Week

The SEC named Georgia running back Todd Gurley freshman of the week on Monday after he scored three touchdowns in the Bulldogs' opening win over the Buffalo Bulls. Gurley ran the ball eight times on Saturday for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Gurley also ran back a kick 100 yards for a touchdown.

Gurley shared the honor with Alabama Crimson Tide running back T.J. Yeldon, who had 11 touches and 137 total yards with one touchdown.

Gurley could start for Georgia in their game Saturday against the Missouri Tigers. The game will kick off at 7:45 p.m. from Faurot Field in Columbia, Mo. The game will also be broadcast on ESPN2.
