Falcons Vs. Chiefs: Jason Snelling, Christopher Owens Return To Practice

Atlanta Falcons running back Jason Snelling and cornerback Christopher Owens both returned to practice on Monday. Snelling has been recovering from a lower leg injury. Though he might have been able to play in the preseason finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Snelling says that he just wasn't ready yet.

I wasn't completely ready to go. There is a lot of stuff that goes into rehabbing after being out that long. The decision was for me not to play. I feel comfortable now.

Owens on the other hand is recovering from a hamstring issue. He impressed Falcons coaches during training camp and the preseason with his play on special teams, which helped him earn a spot on the final roster.

As a competitor it sucks [being out]. I'm practicing today and it feels good. I got through it. Now, all the focus is on K.C.

The Falcons play the Chiefs on Sunday with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. on Fox.
