McIlroy took that one-shot lead into the 18th and had a chance to win the tournament with a birdie putt, but it settled just slightly to the side, leaving a tap-in for par. Oosthuizen then had a birdie putt to force a playoff, but it missed, giving McIlroy the tournament.
Tiger Woods finished alone in third place, three strokes behind McIlroy. Phil Mickelson finished fourth, while Brandt Snedeker and Dustin Johnson finished in a tie for fifth.
Georgia Tech alum Matt Kuchar finished in a tie for 35th at -4. The complete leaderboard can be found at Golf.com.
