The undefeated University of Georgia Bulldogs received a scare at home from the University of Tennessee, but were able to squeak out a 51-44 victory with the help of linebacker Alec Ogletree and safety Bacarri Rambo, who both returned from four-game suspensions on Saturday.
Ogletree and Rambo made their season debuts on Saturday night and were the team's two leading tacklers with 14 and nine respectively.
Ogletree spoke to Chip Towers of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution after the game:
"I’m happy that we got the win," said Ogletree, who also tipped a pass that led to an interception. "I was eager to play. I’ve been waiting for a while now. I’ve got a lot of stuff to work on and keep preparing myself to come back full force. As a defense, we’ve got a lot to work on. We’ve got room for improvement."
Georgia will rely on Ogletree and Rambo again next Saturday when they travel to Columbia, S.C., to take on undefeated South Carolina in a battle of top-ten teams.
