Georgia Vs. Missouri: Bulldogs Prepare For James Franklin

As the Georgia Bulldogs prepare for the Missouri Tigers and their dual-threat quarterback James Franklin, Georgia coach Mark Richt knows that they need to improve after last week's performance against Buffalo, as Seth Emerson of The Telegraph reported:

"He’s a guy that they design runs for. So that’s something we’ll have to worry about. But that’s exactly what we’re working on. It’s probably good that we had issues this game."

Bulls quarterback Alex Zordich surprised Georgia with his running ability, rushing for 83 yards and a touchdown in Georgia's 45-23 win on Sept. 1. Unlike Franklin, who will have a lot of designed runs on Saturday, Richt noted that Zordich gained most of his yards scrambling around on broken plays,

"The QB run part was mostly off of drop-back pass situations. I don’t think they had a plan to run an awful lot of QB run with the guy. But he got a bunch of his runs off of drop-back passes. We’ve gotta do a better job of staying in our gaps, staying in our rushing lanes the way we oughta be and keeping guys contained. So there’s just some things we’ve gotta get better at."
