The Atlanta Dream look to maintain their newfound momentum Wednesday night when they take on the red hot Indiana Fever at Philips Arena. The Fever have won five straight games and have closed to within two games of first-place Connecticut in the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta has won two straight and knocked off Connecticut on Sunday 87-80 thanks to a fourth quarter show by the newly reinstated Angel McCoughtry. After initially being suspended from the team by new head coach Fred Williams, McCoughtry returned on Sunday and scored 18 of her 24 points in the fourth quarter. The entire situation between McCoughtry, former head coach Marynell Meadors and the team has been a distraction but now it is important for them to press forward and build some momentum heading into the playoffs.
Game Date/Time: Wednesday, September 5
