Lindsey Harding scored 12 of her 20 points in the fourth quarter and the Atlanta Dream defeated the Indiana Fever 71-64. The Dream now have back-to-back wins over the top two teams in the Eastern Conference after also defeating Connecticut on Sunday.
The Fever came in hot having won five straight games and looked like they might just take control early with a suffocating defense that held Atlanta to just 10 first quarter points. However, Indiana couldn't pull away in the first half and led 32-29 at halftime. After swapping the lead back and forth throughout the third quarter, Atlanta clamped down in the fourth outscoring the Fever 23-12 to capture the victory.
Harding led the way for the Dream with her 20 points on 7-15 shooting. She added three assists and four rebounds to her total. Angel McCoughtry came off the bench for the second straight game and scored 15 points and also had three steals. Tiffany Hayes added 12 points while Sancho Lyttle finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Katie Douglas led the Fever with 23 points but missed a couple of good looks in the fourth quarter. Reigning WNBA Player of the Month Tameka Catchings added 13 points and nine rebounds while Eriana Larkins pitched in 12 off the bench.
