BMW Championship 2012: McIlroy Among Four Leaders After 1st Round

Four golfers led by World's No.1 Rory McIlroy shot an 8-under par 64 to share the lead after the first round of the BMW Championships held at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, IN.

McIlroy carried over the momentum from his victory at the Deutsche Bank Championship on Thursday, netting seven birdies and an eagle on the par-5 15th on his round to go along with just one bogey. The Northern Irishman

Tiger Woods sits in fifth place, just one shot back of the co-leaders after shooting a 7-under par 65 on Thursday. Woods started off strong with birdies on the first two holes of the day and totalled nine birdies on the day to go along with bogies on holes No. 4 and 14.

Georgia Tech grad Matt Kuchar is five strokes behind the leaders after shooting a 3-under 69, while 2012 Masters Champion Bubba Watson is six strokes back at 2-under par.
