Mike Scott Signs Two-Year Deal With Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks have signed second-round draft pick Mike Scott to a two-year deal according to Peachtree Hoops blogger Kris Willis. Scott was the 43rd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of the University of Virginia.

While playing for the Cavaliers, Scott finished his career averaging 11.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per game and helped lead the school to its first NCAA Tournament berth in five years as a fifth-year senior:

Scott figures to be one of the players that could benefit from the Hawks new efforts in player development. Its unclear at this time how much he could figure into the team's on court plans this season and could be a candidate for some seasoning in the D-League.
