Falcons Vs. Chiefs: Sean Weatherspoon Has Pro Bowl Expectations

Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon begins his third season when Atlanta opens 2012 against the Chiefs, and he's looking to start off a Pro Bowl season. Weatherspoon said Wednesday that making the Pro Bowl is one of his goals this season, but also, it would mean a lot more for the Falcons defense.

"That's definitely one of my individual goals," he said. "I think if I play well enough to reach that goal, I think it'll benefit our defense and our team."

Weatherspoon recorded 115 total tackles in 2011 and 82 solo. He also led the team with 14 tackles for loss last season. If Weatherspoon lives up to his own expectations, the Falcons could see a lot of improvements under Mike Nolan's new defense.
